Critical Illness is a disease with life-threatening and sometime untreatable.

Some diseases can look like small negligible disease, but you have to treatment of that disease for life-long,

If there is gap or irregularity during the treatment, the disease may turn to life-threatening critical illness.

For Example – Blood Pressure related diseases, obesity, high blood sugar, etc. You can have treatment for these disease but you have to take medicines and caution for lifelong, if you neglected these small diseases you will be in great problem. These diseases are the mother of some critical illnesses. Your money and assets will ruin out but you can’t recover completely from that critical illness. But for living, you will have to pay regular money for your regular treatment and medicines.

There around 40 critical illnesses, which insurer covers. All insurer don’t cover 40 critical illnesses; some covers 40, some other covers 11, or some cover specific single critical illness like Cancer, there are list of plans to cover critical illnesses, you have to choose as per your requirements and budget.

Critical Illness insurance plan are basically protection plans, there will not be any maturity or bonus at the end of policy term. But, during the policy, if any critical illness diagnosed to you and that is covered under your policy, you will get the money/claim up-to sum-assured per the plan, you can use that amount for your treatment.

There are many plans with pre-defined percentage of sum-assured for stage by stage treatment of the critical illness for the proper treatment of the patient.
